Stephen is the Director of SME Markets, Lloyds Banking Group Commercial/Chairman Small Firms Advisory Panel, British Bankers’ Association, Chairman Prime Cymru. Stephen has been involved in banking and finance for small and medium sized businesses for most of his 28 years in the industry having been responsible nationally for risk management, international services and training as well as management of local business centres. He is a member of Lloyds Banking Group Commercial division’s executive board responsible for external affairs for SMEs including accountability for policy, communications, government and business network relations and diversity and sustainable development with responsibility for both Lloyds TSB and Bank of Scotland. Stephen read Economics at University College London and has professional qualifications in banking and marketing. He is a director of the British Business Angels Association and since January 2004, he has chaired the British Bankers’ Association Small Firms Panel, leading the work of the Business Finance Taskforce in mentoring, appeals and lending codes.
Luke cut his marketing teeth working for a successful UK-based Internet Service Provider marketing technology and internet solutions for businesses. Luke also ran his own marketing consultancy that specialised in digital marketing, B2B marketing and marketing strategy. He is a co-founder and marketing director of Crowdcube - an organisation that gives ordinary people the opportunity to become an armchair Dragon and build their own investment portfolio supporting exciting new British businesses. Crowdcube is a new way to fund start-ups and business expansion by crowdfunding for equity, giving entrepreneurs a platform to connect with ordinary people and raise venture capital.
