Women into Executive Roles
A joint event with University of Edinburgh Business School
Tuesday 17 September
Edinburgh Business School
Panel discussion event
What can facilitate the path to the top of the corporation for women? This is a question underpinning a surge in interest in women’s progress to board and executive level. Since ACCA admitted the first women to membership of any accountancy body back in 1909 we have grown to a position where no less than 45% of ACCA members and 50% of ACCA students are women.
But what are the challenges facing women in stepping into executive roles?
This event will provide the opportunity to hear from three women who have met these challenges head on and consider their opinions on organisations’ changing approaches to managing diversity, equal opportunities and age-based discrimination in employment.
The panel will be led by Wendy Loretto, Professor of Organisational Behaviour at University of Edinburgh Business School.
