From the planning marathon to the delivery sprint, Mark Drummond, Financial Planning Manager at Glasgow 2014, will reveal the game plan to take Glasgow 2014 from 300 days-to-go, to being 'games ready', including lessons learnt from London 2012.

Who will benefit

Finance business partners / finance decision support of all levels with outward facing roles, or supporting outward facing programmes and projects; public and private sector. Project/programme accountants will find the Glasgow 2014's financial attributes to be relevant to their work, and those that need to operate within fixed budgets.

Mark will review the key deliverables during the planning phase that set-up the organising committee at Glasgow 2014 to enter into the last 300 days in a strong position.

This is a joint event with CIMA and ICAEW

Mark Drummond, Financial Planning Manager at Glasgow 2014 Ltd, joined the organisation in June 2012 as financial planning manager for venues, with the objective to optimise the physical venues that will deliver an athlete centred and sport focused games. Previously he provided finance decision support to one of the world’s largest network and telephony infrastructure transformation programmes at RBS; a two-year, £200m programme.
