ACCOUNTING IN THE US

This course examines the main content and practical problems of US GAAP using annual reports of US corporations as illustrations. Comparisons with UK GAAP and IFRS will also be discussed.

KEY FEATURES
• explanation of the main US rules on presentation of financial statements, assets (eg PPE, intangibles, leases and impairment) and liabilities (eg provisions, pensions and deferred tax)
• examination of real financial statements to solve practical problems
